Awhile back Sugar had a contest to win some running clothing from Roadrunner Sports. We entered it and we won. So after carefully going over the selection 87 times, she ordered a nice selection of tops, some tanks and shorts for her exercise program. The clothing is a really nice light fabric and my Mom loves them and she would highly recommend them. Thanks Sugar.
Now...comes the challenge. My mom talked to Stanley and Murphy's mom and challenged her to see who can get the most steps and who can burn the most calories this coming Thursday and she has accepted the challenge!!
Now the Mayors mom is a runner but on Thursday there is no running for either one of them. They have to be creative on doing things to get their steps in and burn those calories. We don't want to you to choose sides but you might have your ideas of who you think might win. Never fear....I will be nipping on the heals of my Moms feets!!
The challenge starts at Thursday morning at 12:01 until 12:00 midnight and my mom is a night owl!! bol On Friday they will post what they did, their step count and the calories burned on their weight blogs. The looser has to buy the other one lunch at our retreat next summer. Here are our blogs to check on Friday.

Dat are pawsome of your momma. My momma does Jillian Michaels videos all da time - she says dey are a tuff workout, but I wouldn't know since I nap while she does em.ReplyDelete
Hmmmmmmmm. SHE thinks fun and run should never appear in the same sentence...and loves the poster "Exercise.....I thought you said Extra Fries." Good luck to both Mommas.ReplyDelete
Well all I can say is just make sure all this exercising doesn't distract either Moms from their true vocation of pandering to your every whim.ReplyDelete
I am thinking your Mom's should categorise their steps into 'dog-related' and 'not dog-related' and the there should also be a prize for the Mom that scores the highest ratio of dog / non dog steps. Is there an app on the Fitbit that can calculate this? If not, someone needs to invent one!
PS May the best Mom win!
We applaud your mom, Oreo! This is just awesome!ReplyDelete
Love ya lots♥

We are cheering your mom on for the step contest.ReplyDelete
Our Aunt C has a fitbit and loves it. She makes sure she gets her 10 000 steps every day.
Lady also hates running. That is ok because she LOVES walking.
If she wants to have an incentive to run, just have her enter a certain event in Pamplona, Spain.ReplyDelete
we have our paws crossed you both do wellReplyDelete
BRavo to your mom for getting fit! our mom needs to get more exercise tooReplyDelete
We will cheer you both on!
Mr Bailey, Hazel & Mabel
Congratulations on your cool winReplyDelete

Our mom is very proud of the accomplishments your mom has made. Isn't that a cool thing about Blogville? Now of course you know that my mom not being allowed to run is like tying her shoelaces together and yelling "Fire!". Anyway, we hope none of us doggies suffer!ReplyDelete
Murphy & Stanley
Cool!!! Good luck to both of you. Can't wait to see who wins!ReplyDelete
Good luck, that is a very good thing to do!ReplyDelete
My Mommy #2 has an UP24 from Jawbone. Same idea. She likes that it keeps her accountable as well.ReplyDelete

Mom had seen the Doods Mom's blog...and was wondering who's was Keep Calm, Eat healthy...now she knows! Mom has a fitbit, too! She had a ChargeHR and she loves it. LIke your Mom's she is also trying to lose a bit of weight...about 15 pounds...and now you've both got her thinking of making a dedicated blog for accountability reasons, too!ReplyDelete
Good luck to the both of you on this challenge! Can't wait to see the final results and just how you both did it.
