Blogville's Demolition Derby

I wanted to remind you all about Blogville's first ever Demolition Derby at the Blogville County Fair. The derby will be held on August 29th which is a Saturday.

The deadlion to let me know if you wanna race is on August 20th. It will be so much fun to see who can survive and be the last car running. After the heats...there will be one final heat to find out who our winner will be. I will need you to send me a picture of your front and side view.

****Also we will need some Firedogs on duty and some tow drivers to haul the cars out. If you don't want to race maybe you can be fire or tow drivers.

Every County Fair has a Queen and Princess's. Is anyone interested in hosting the Royal court selection? Pictures should be sent in and Blogville can vote for their Queen and her court. The court will be revealed before the Derby starts. Let me know if you are interested in hosting.

And Ziggy...will be there with all the delicious fair food for us to snag before and after the Derby?I wonder if Hazel likes cotton candy??

We were back out in the country for family birthday parties for 3 grand-peeps. They have a pool but I LOVE it when they spray me with the hose. I could literally do this ALL day long!!!

Our Saturday

While Addi is here....and while Mom is hard at work.......this is our Saturday

It was quite a day.

The Moms had their "BOOB" challenge day today. It was actually quite interesting here. I did get a long walk in plus I kept asking for treats which made her walk to the kitchen. She just looked at me and my look said....its steps mom...its steps!!! You get the picture right??

Otherwise I slept through the other boring stuff.

 She put me here on this wagon so we could go on a 75 mile walk!! Seriously??

My mom went and challenged the Mayors mom and so they are on a quest to see:
1. Who can get the most steps.
2. Who can burn the most calories.
They are calling this event..."The BOOB Challenge".

Sugars contest and a Challenge

Awhile back Sugar had a contest to win some running clothing from Roadrunner Sports. We entered it and we won. So after carefully going over the selection 87 times, she ordered a nice selection of tops, some tanks and shorts for her exercise program. The clothing is a really nice light fabric and my Mom loves them and she would highly recommend them. Thanks Sugar.

Awhile back Stanley and Murphy's mom started a food blog to help her be accountable. My mom thought that it was a great idea and so she started one too. My mom is using hers for being accountable for exercise. I know that it is really helping my mom alot.  About a week ago....my mom got a Fitbit from Aunt Linda.

She just loves it and is getting 87 zillion steps in and recording all her calories. Do any of your moms have a Fitbit? My mom is trying to get into running. Now she hates to run....so why does she want to run? I have no clue but she says that she always admires those that do run so she wants to do a race in October in San Antonio. I must say that she is working very hard at it. At first she was dying running a min (I thought I was going to hafta paw 911) and now she is doing several minutes.

Now...comes the challenge. My mom talked to Stanley and Murphy's mom and challenged her to see who can get the most steps and who can burn the most calories this coming Thursday and she has accepted the challenge!!
Now the Mayors mom is a runner but on Thursday there is no running for either one of them. They  have to be creative on doing things to get their steps in and burn those calories. We don't want to you to choose sides but you might have your ideas of who you think might win. Never fear....I will be nipping on the heals of my Moms feets!!

The challenge starts at Thursday morning at 12:01 until 12:00 midnight and my mom is a night owl!! bol On Friday they will post what they did, their step count and the calories burned on their weight blogs. The looser has to buy the other one lunch at our retreat next summer. Here are our blogs to check on Friday.

Couch Potatoes

It was such a fun Rodeo....a BIG Thanks to all that hosted events....they turned out perfect. Now seems like we are Couch Potatoes!!!!

Finally.....the Rodeo is here!! YAY!! Weve all been getting ready and excited for this day.

I went to Hazels house and picked her up and Boy Doggy...does she ever look cute!! I am the luckiest Buckaroo ever!!

Hang on tight Hazel!! We are ready to ride to the Rodeo and we will have fun wiping up on that square dance floor!!

Mom thinks that maybe it has seen better days but I wont let her get rid of it. Do you guys see anything wrong with my ball? I think it is perfectly fine!!

What I don't like!!

My family was busy and had lots of fun over the 4th. They went to the  speedway and watched the fireworks.

Addi came over and stayed cuz Tom was working nights and well.....we are both fradey dogs!! We hung out in the basement with the TV blaring, toys, food and water and we hardly heard anything so it was all good.
