Our first fight

Today, me and Addi had our first fight. It was not a fun clowning around fight either. Here's what happened: Here is Addi and note right in front of "my" food bowl.
Here I come along and want a few munchies and I stop to evaluate the situation. I give Addi the ole move outta the way "eye" look and she doesn't budge at all. We have a stare down and still there she sits. ummmmm
Ok, I will be the bigger dog and just politely go around her to get to my food bowl. Well....Miss Dog-zilla didn't like that one bit and she attacked me!! I must add that Mom and Dad were standing between me and Addi chit chatting. So..anyways...the fight began. First Addi started biting me and attacking me. There was NO way that I was gonna take this attack lying down!! Then there was lots of serious biting and growling going on and we were rolling around on the ground. Mom screamed cuz she was bare-footed and was worried about her toes, Hey!! what about me?? I mean this 70 lug was on little ole 19 lb me!!  It took both of them to pull us apart and when they did, we both had our snarls on and still growling!!
I got sent to my bed and Addi got sent to the basement to as she says "Think about what we did" yah right!! I was just trying to protect myself. Later, we noticed what I did to Addi~~Look at those claw marks!! She may be BIG but I am the Boss round here and I don't take no guff from no one!!
We couldn't even play fight for the rest of the day. If we even started Mom says uhhh, uhhh and that we better knock it off!! Now her, I am scared of BOL!! Have any of you got in a serious fight with your siblings??

  1. Yep, Kendra and I used to have huge altercations....I even punctured her ear. Then Bella and I have had fights.....And now Roxy and Bella have a few doozies.

They are mostly over food and when the pup of the moment is getting old enough to realise who it top dog!

Mostly we just snap and growl.

  2. Floyd and I used to have some... issues... When I first joined the family. We don't really have them any more.

I'm sure once Addi settles in, you'll get used to her and she will get used to you!

(Maybe you could lickie Addi's sore better late?)

  4. Oh dear oh dear, you poor things, fighting over food, over anything isn't the way to go you know. Hope you both soon become a little Zen-like and learn to live and let live, eat and let eat, move and let move, cuddle and more cuddle and more cuddle....Love to you all :)

  5. Nope, no fights on this end! But you're right about one thing, don't take no gruff from anyone. Stand your ground.

Glad that in the end, everyone is going to be just fine.

  6. Firstly, nice job on the illustrations - we always follow stories better when there are pictures.

Secondly, although we do not condone fighting. We can totally see where you were coming from and may have done the same thing if in the same position.

Finally, in answer to your question: paw on wood Sammy & I have never had a real fight. I do get a little annoyed with him sometimes and may snap but full on fight...no.

  7. Don't all siblings fight??? BOL

Well, actually there are 9 of us living here now but no serious arguments as of yet. But then again, most of my siblings are like 200 years old. My real true brudder by bloods (Max DaOdderWeenie) always beats me up but he be thinkin me is his squeaky toy.

  9. I know very well how these things happen and I could write a book on the fights our pups Sheba and CarrieAnne have had, that have included a couple of trips to the emergency room...They are very scary for all of us, and I'm glad that Addi is mostly okay and YOU too!! I hope you can play nice together today!!

  11. My brudder and sissy does dis but it be real skeery cuz he would actually kill her if he had da chance...it's always bout food too. Brudder eats in da laundry room and sissy eats in da kitchen...completely away from each udder and we ain't free fed so there is no remaindin' foodables. Once brudder is dne eatin' mum stands in front of him so he won't go over to sissy...her slow eater.

  14. Now that me and Stanley are teenagers we have gotten into 2 fights but not quite as serious as the realistic depiction you have shown us. But still, we were very serious and all business. We were growling and attacking but we stopped when mom screamed at us. Now when we start getting a bit too excited she tells us to calm down and it helps remind us to be nice. We hope you and Addi are friends again.

    Your friends,

    Murphy & Stanley

Pee Ess - Just cuz some of us are smaller than our siblings doesn't mean we don't know where to plant our punches!

  15. Oh my Posh Paws I am so sorry your sister put you through that. I just knew that tank was going to influence Addy the wrong war way. Try and make sisterly love and not war. If we go out together on Halloween and we have any trouble I will let you handle it and I will be your backup

  16. I would have gotten Addi when she coveted MY food. Scottie rule-all food in the house is MINE. She's just a big sissy and if she's smart, she'll get the idea when you do it only once. Then there will be no more altercations.

  17. Sam and Monty never have. We used to have a lot of Great Danes who would get into ferocious fights. I used to keep a couple of buckets and would throw the buckets into the middle of the fight. It would startle them enough to have us run in and grab them without getting damaged!

  19. Oh my poor darling Addi. Look at those scratches. I do hope you are getting tip top medical care my dear sweet lass! I want to hear your side of the story. And if you want to claim asylum, my doors are ever open.
Sadly, I have never had any siblings.

  20. I'm an only child, so no siblins to fight with, but I do fight with Grandpa! I even nip him once in a while ~ he says he doesn't like that, but I don't believe him. I don't dare try that stuffs with Ma!
Poor Addi, I hope her scratches heal real fast!

    Kisses,

  21. YIKES! Molly can be a real witch but when either one of us cries, the play stops. We either stop on our own or mom stops it for us in a hurry.

    Love ya lots,

  22. Well, no serious as in visible scratch marks or blood, but we have definitely gotten into a rolling-snarling match on occasion. Mom gets REALLY mad when that happens. It is always over a toy. Sounds like you opened up a can on Dogzilla! Better make up though because no one wants a mad Momma.

  23. Oh you poor babies. We got into a good one once or twice. Not super duper bad but bad enough. My Lily growled and bit me like a grizzly bear. Nutty. Now I know to stay away from my Lily's food

  26. Have me and Whit ever gotten in a fight?? What day is it?? BOL!

Our first fight was over who was gonna beg for pizza crust in a motel room in Tennessee-- scared the bejeezus out of our Mommas!

Since then, we's had us some kerfluffles over who gets out the door first, and we've started both pulling on a toy and when we rips it apart, then we starts on each udder! (We don't get to do that anymore... they put a kibosh on toy wars--spoilsports!!) We don't fight over our dog food or treats but we got into a fight over an empty cat food can and now we don't gets ta lick 'em out anymore...

    Man, our Mommas are mean!

  27. My perfect pair got in a fight once, no idea how or why, we came home to discover it had happened and they patched things up, they were cuddling when we got there. Still a scare though!
