Did you know??

Hey, Did you all know that the American Kennel Club has released the top 10 most popular dogs for 2010?
They are:
1. Labrador Retriever
2. German Shepherd
3. Yorkshire Terrier
4. Beagle (5th last yr)
5. Golden Retriever (4th last yr)
6. Bulldog (7th last yr)
7. Boxer (6th last yr)
8. Dachshund
9. Poodle
10. Shih tzu

WHAT??? NO Scottie on this list?? What is this world coming to? Don't they know that us Scotties are cute and lovable and make an excellent pet? There must be some error here!!

I think we need our own list: Not in any order though:
All Terriers~Scottie, Westie, Airdale, Fox, Schnauzers
All Hound dogs~Dachshund, Bassetts, Beagles
Huskies
All Labs
Collies
Newfies
Goldens
French Bulldogs/Pugs
Shih tzu/ Maltese/Lhasa Apso/Poodles
All mixed groups of dogs
How does this sound? Guess I better submit it to the American Kennel Club, ha!

    Not making THIS list khan be a good thing fur our breeds!

    Too often those on 'The List' end up being bred improperly to just make green paper$

    Unbelievable! Only one terrier in the top ten and that a Yorkie!
    It would be a very different list in Scotland, Westies and Border Collies would certainly make the top five.

    Cool new wallpaper!! Mom says for as much as she appreciates how everyone loves us Frenchies these days, she wishes we were a little LESS popular (I think we are 17 on the AKC list, up from 74 just a few years ago). Too many of us in rescue, ya know???

    Fer sure!! We TOAD-ally agree with you Jazzi. We were pretty upset when we saw that same old, tired list for 2010. Oh well, we are just more RARE, so not as many folks can have us as part of their family...though we know they would all love to. bol.

    We are glad you added MIXED dogs to the list, cuz that is us! We are not on the ASPCA's list either, are we. But thats okay... we are our Mama's favorite dogs!!! ;)
