And this is Chance.
One day their parents left Simon and Chance outside when they went to work. Well it started raining and thundering and they had no place to go to get out of the rain. Mom went over and got them and brought them to our front porch. We all sniffed and we all got along. That was the first time I met them without a fence between us. Mom wasn't sure how they would act with her but we were all good. No bites!!Later their parents came home and came and picked up Chance and Simon.
But we still meet at the fence and we bark our heads off to each other. Probably the whole neighborhood hears us barking at each other.
Mom always yells at me to be quiet....gezzz I'm just trying to be friendly!! Moms!!
Those pups pawrents should be more careful with their boys. Around here if dogs are left out without shelter it is a violation that could result with the dogs being confiscated. Not that we think you would turn your neighbors in but leaving dogs out all day while they are at work isn't fun for the dogs or the neighbors if they bark a lot. That was very nice of your mom to rescue them during the storm.

ReplyDelete...and tell efurrybuddy that you all would be pawfectly happy to NOT have the fence between you! It is true what Millie and Walter say; here in the UK things are very strict about providing shelter for our pets. I hope these little darlings get their very own hut soon! hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Whenever there is a fence, we go crazy...barking and acting tough, but without a fence, we have good manners. We love doing fence line zoomies with Jedda who lives behind us.
ReplyDeleteOh, your new neighbors are PAWSOME! I am so glads you have some FABulous furiends to bark with! And, I am glads your Moms rescued them from the rains...I knows I don't likes gettin' my furs wet eithers! ☺

Thank your lucky stars that squirrels didn't move in near you. Then the neighborhood would be move-out ready.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you got them out of the rain. I have never left my dogs outside all day when I went to work. When Barkley was little and I was in a tiny condo I had to gate him in the kitchen but I had a college student and his Mom (his regular dog walker) come over 3 times a day to let him out until he was old enough to "hold it" longer and be left alone without chewing on something. I looked at it as just one of the costs of having a pup. When I bought a house the next year, I built a nice run in the partially finished basement. The floor was cement but he light and a little TV on, a little couch, and fencing so he didn't have the run of the full basement. His walker still came twice a day but it was manageable until he could be trusted in the house alone all day.
ReplyDeleteYou are just talking to them!

your mama is simply the best... that was very nice to offer this pups a warm&dry place...
ReplyDeleteThat was sure nice of you and your mom to let them hang out on your porch and get out of the rain! What a good neighbor you are, Oreo!
ReplyDeleteoh boy! Your neighbors look like fun but as I am typing this, the dog across the hall from us and Dakota are having a "bark-off" BOL! The cleaning people are cleaning our condo/apt building hallway (with vacuums), so you can imagine what is taking place right now. I hear ya about the barking!! DakotasDen
ReplyDeleteI bark at the neighbor dog all the time but he just ignores me - pretty rude of him
