Our peeps just dont get it!!!

They just don't get it at how really smart we are. I mean we can hear other dogs barking and right away me and Addy have to run to the window and we start barking back. We know xactly what they are sayin...right?? Its a dog lingo thing!!!~~~Today, Addy was sound asleep in the basement, she heard nother dog barking and ran as fast as her Dog-zilla legs would take her to check the situation out. Mom is like Addy, you don't know what it going on...uh.. yah Mom...we do~~you don't!!
You could blindfold me, tie my paws behind my back and cover my sniffer and I could still know and bark when nother dog is walking by our house, we just KNOW these things!! We also know xactly when these pesty squirrels are on our property.....are you with me??
And when these little dudes are out and about, am I right???
At night, if I start going berserk...it is usually cuz the coons or the possums are out and I am 99.9999% right on. Then.....why.....why.....I ask... don't our peeps get it?? Does this happen to any of you guys too? It is ruff to be misunderstood when we are oh so right on!!!

From 2 misunderstood dogs living in Illinois!!

I also have a request. My friend Jasmine, (Jaz) needs all our helps. You see she is the smartest and bestest and the cutest shopper that I have ever known. She is trying to win a spot in a doggie magazine. Click on Jaz and it will take you to her blog and she will explain more and tell you how to vote. You can also see clips of her shopping, she is amazing!! If you dont know her, this will give you a chance to say Hey!!

  2. I wish I knew how my pups know things before I do--Another reason to have them around, especially when I'm by myself!

I keep forgetting to tell you that our little 'Scottie Todd's' new best friend at day care this week is an American Bulldog puppy, just like Addy!

  6. Hey Jazzi!
Wow, I have the exact same problem! I always tell my peeps way ahead of time when there's another peep, a car, or a critter coming around. Sometimes they even accuse me of making it up! The nerve. We know what's going on in our territory! Fur sure.

  10. Same thing here, Jazzi. We start barking and by the time SHE manages to get into gear to look, whatever it is, is just coming into view.

    We'll go check out Jaz.

  11. Oh, you are SO RIGHT. They just don't get our noses ... our desire for critter chasing ... how we just can't think like they do when we smell something so good! Keep up the good chase!

  12. Yuh. Humans with their useless ears and noses. They just don't know the score.

  16. My peeps get it, 100 percent! That is why Stanzie doesn't get to go out without a leash after dark. No more Raccoon encounters at 2am!!

You two just settle down and let your peeps sleep, LOL

  18. No, the peeps just have no idea sometimes do they, don't they know we are better than any of these alarm thingys they have - WE KNOW!! They are only humans though so I think we have to accept they will never be as clever as us and meanwhile keep on trying to train them ;-) We love Jasmines video and have been following her for a while, what a clever girl. dex and Lou xxx

  19. We agree!
Once we've finished what we're barking at..its over, done, zip, finished!
They just have to learn to let it run its corse ..wont they ever learn?!

  20. Jazzi, Mistaya seems to be very tuned in to what is happening outside more so than little Maggie. We have a lady down the street who walks her dogs by our house everyday..but never at the same time. And before they even get to our side yard and driveway Mistaya knows they are coming. Quite amazing! They never bark, wear no noisey dangly tags, and walk quietly beside her...but Mistaya still knows. She is so darn smart!...just like you and Addy....good work.
