Its amazing just how the tail works, did you ever think bout that??
When I am excited, it wags bout 90 miles an hr!!
When I am in trouble, it tucks itself in.
When I want to play, the tail is a perfect playmate for me. It goes round and I like to chase it.
Most Scotties have the tail going up like here. This is me with my 2 cousins that live in Texas. When Uncle Ed walks me, it is pointed straight out.
Sometimes it just hangs low~~
And sometimes, I can point it down. Maybe I am part pointer???
Yeah, we agree, tails are cool! We love your "pointer tail!"
ReplyDeleteMom says that the postition of our tails lets her know if we are happy or sad. Tails do tell a lot, Jazzi!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Tails are very telling about our moods, you know. Take me, when I wag my tail low and slow it means I am nervous. Some humans think it means I am happy to see them, but that just isn't so. At least momma can tell the difference.
ReplyDeleteSlobbers,
mango
I have a furry small tail that I can wag so fast you can hardly see the blur. It's so short, however, that you can't really tell if it's down or not. But JH has one of those barometer tails that tell the whole story of what is going on inside his goofy mind. Just as you say -- up, down, tucked under -- they all have meaning. Fortunately our humans get it so they can read us pretty well!

Oh my YES... Tails do TELL.
ReplyDeleteYou're just an easy going gal.
ReplyDeleteI was so excited a couple of weeks ago that I wagged my tail right into my water bowl...and didn't notice! I've got quite a tail, too, so there was water all over. *snickers*
ReplyDeletewow tails sound fun...wish we had one!
ReplyDeleteWe never had a tail lesson. You are lucky you can do different things. Lily could move hers when she is happee but mine looks like a chicken McNugget

Heehee...part pointer! Sometimes I wish I had a long tail like yours. Long tails are most Expressive. But mom says not to worry...that she likes my nubbin tail just fine.
