Happy New Year and a Great way to bring in the New Year!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Welcome 2012!! This is how Dog-zilla brought in the New Year.
And me, waiting fur it to come,This is how it looks all together~~Pups, they just cant hang with us BIG dogs!! I am working on my New Years resolutions and getting them all pawed out. But I know a very good project to start out with and all of you can help out with it and it is a fantastic project seriously!! I am sure that you are all aware of Sandra and the fire and loosing 5 of her 7 dogs. We cant even begin to imagine what her and her family is going through at this time. Dachies with Moxies mom is making a queen size comforter as a remembrance to the Fearless Five who gave their lives to save their family. In order for this to be done, Dachies with Moxie (Agnes) is in need of 6 inch squares of fabric to help make the quilt. It can be fabric that says something bout you or something from a fav blanket etc. If only I had Taco material, I would send a piece of that BOL and BTW, if anyone ever sees any, please scarf it up fur me BOL~~ok, back to the subject. Here is me and Addys pieces of fabric. Mine is Scotties and it represents the black and the wheaten Scotties and my fav color!!This is Addy's. We couldn't find anything really cool fur her, so we found these lips and thought Perfect!! we know that their peeps loved them and that they loved their peeps and I am sure they got 87 bazillion kisses!! click on the word kisses!!
Agnes is still in need of lots more squares. It can be any color, any print, it makes no difference, she will make it work cuz she is talented like that!!! This is gonna be queen size and I know it will be her favorite and will be cherished forever. My mom has tons of fabric and so we are going through the bins to see what good size pieces that we have. We have a pretty good pile going already.Agnes will also need a major huge piece to back the quilt with. It would be neat if she could back it with Sandra's favorite color. Can you find that out Agnes? If any of you have fabric, please could you go through it and send it to Agnes? And if you don't sew or have fabric, there is still a way to help out. You could donate some money to her so she could go and buy the size of backing piece that she will need. Please e-mail me at dcraftsalot@yahoo.com and I will give you Agnes's address so you can send your fabric or your donation. She needs the fabric by Jan 16th. She plans to have it done in time for Valentines Day and what a gift that will be fur Sandra.
Also when your fabric arrives at Agnes's house she post the square and she also post it after it is made so that you can actually see it. This is a great community here so I hope we all will be able to make this quilt happen for Sandra.
